Fenton Custard 1978 Hammered Colonial Lamp Christmas Morn

We are pleased to offer this vintage signed 1978 Fenton custard glass lamp depicting a church in wintertime and called "Christmas Morn". Made in 1978 and signed Amy S., the lamp is the Hammered Colonial style measuring 16-1/4" tall to the rim of the chimney, 14-3/4" to the top of the ruffle, 4-1/4" shade base opening and has a 7-1/2" base diameter. The lamp was a Limited Edition for 1978, the first in special series of annual presentations.

The exterior has applied frit. There are no chips or cracks; the gold-tone metal base is in excellent condition with the only wear found on the cap on the front; it has some oxidation. We note some stray black marks on one side of the shade and black around the base of both the inner and outer shades, from rubbing against the base.

This is a fabulous opportunity to own a rare vintage Fenton lamp. Fenton has closed its doors and sadly, we have lost yet another great American glass-making tradition.
