Product 2/7
The framing paper was torn and we removed it to take photos of the date. The gallery sticker is present but the name has been torn off; only the address remains, of a gallery in Chicago.
Bernard Buffet had a prolific career spanning five decades; he was afflicted with Parkinson's Disease and committed suicide in 1999. His works show an inclination to the melancholy and this example is no exception. It has little color and has a very stark, austere feel to it.
The frame and lithograph are in excellent condition. We have searched Internet picture sites and have not found an identity to this locale.
