Thorley Bone China Brooch with Violets and Buds

The piece measures 2" by 1.5". We find one stamen that has tip broken off, showing the white underneath. This is on the pink violet, on the stamen located about 6 o'clock on the piece. There is also a spot that was missed in the color glazing on the back side of one leaf. We have examined with a loupe and the area has been overglazed with clear, so it was a factory mishap and and is not a chip.

The Thorley company was only in business a short time and the good, undamaged pieces are getting hard to find. We will include the box this was found in. It has the bottom but no top and is unmarked, but is probably the original box.
